British boxer Anthony Yarde spoke about his defeat against WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev.
Anthony Yarde, quoted by talkSPORT
I'm disappointed and upset, but I tried my best. I'm ambitious and I wanted to win three championship belts. I did everything I had to do to prepare for the fight, but I think sometimes experience is more important.
Yarde and Beterbiev met on January 29th at Wembley Arena in London. Anthony lost by TKO in the eighth round. He has 23 wins (22 by KO) and three losses. Artur's record is 19 wins, all by TKO, and no losses.
Last November Yarde met Stefani Koykov of Bulgaria. In that fight Anthony knocked out his opponent in the third round.
Yarde was in the ring against fellow countryman Lyndon Artur in London in December 2021. This fight, which was stopped in the fourth round, ended in Anthony's favor by knockout.
