World champion in three weight classes Gervonta Davis has been released from a Baltimore jail after serving a 90-day sentence for violating house arrest.
"Welcome back, uncle," Davis' nephew wrote on social media.
As a reminder, Baltimore city court sentenced Davis for a car accident involving victims and leaving the scene of the accident to three months of house arrest and three years of probation, as well as 200 hours of community service, but the boxer violated the conditions and the court reviewed the decision, placing him in custody.
On the night of April 23, Gervonta Davis defended his WBA lightweight belt by defeating Ryan Garcia by knockout in the seventh round.
Davis, 28, previously stepped into the ring against Hector Garcia in January of this year. That fight ended in favor of Gervonta by technical knockout in the ninth round. He has 29 wins (27 by knockout) and no losses under his belt.
