Former heavyweight champion, Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko, was in negotiations for a match against the current IBF titleholder, British boxer Daniel Dubois. This news was reported by the Daily Mail.
Klitschko was aiming to face Dubois on February 22 at a boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but the negotiations came to a halt this week.
Dubois last fought against Anthony Joshua in October, winning that encounter via technical knockout in the fifth round. His record now stands at 22 wins (21 by knockout) and two losses.
Klitschko's last appearance in the ring was against Joshua in April 2017, where he lost by technical knockout in the 11th round. He boasts an impressive record of 64 wins (53 by knockout) and five losses.
