Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has disclosed that he competed in his last two fights (against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang) with a broken arm, completely unaware of his injury.

I broke my arm way back in November some time and I didn't know. I had two tears on my shoulder and stuff like that. I could feel the pain but I just thought it was old injuries. I got MRI’d, that everything was f***ed up in there. I didn’t know cause I got a high tolerance of pain.
In July 2024, Wilder lost to Zhilei Zhang via technical knockout in the fifth round. In December 2023, Deontay lost to Joseph Parker by unanimous decision. In his professional boxing career, Wilder has 43 wins (42 by knockout), four losses, and one draw.
