World Boxing Council (WBC) President Mauricio Sulaiman revealed that former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder could compete for the bridgerweight title if he expresses interest.
Currently, the WBC bridgerweight title is held by Lawrence Okolie, who is set to fight mandatory contender Kevin Lerena. According to Sulaiman, Wilder could face the winner of this bout.

I am sure that if Wilder wishes to fight vs the Bridgerweight champion the WBC would approve but we have not received anything from our dear Deontay camp.
Wilder's last fight was against Zhilei Zhang in June of this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In that match, which was stopped in the fifth round, Deontay suffered a knockout loss. In his professional boxing career, he has 43 wins (42 by knockout), four losses, and one draw.
