Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder said he is seriously thinking about competing in the top American mixed martial arts league UFC.
Wilder told Blue Blood Sports TV:
I’m thinking about doing both, UFC and boxing. I’ll be a dangerous man in the UFC with 4oz gloves… I feel like picking up a big body and slamming him, then getting on top of him and beating the s*** out of him.
Wilder last stepped into the ring against Robert Helenius in October 2022. That fight was stopped in the first round, ending in Deontay's favor by knockout. Wilder has 43 wins (42 by knockout), one draw and two losses.
