WBC Officially Announces Fury vs Ngannou Fight

The World Boxing Council (WBC) has made an announcement regarding the upcoming fight between British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

Recall, earlier it became known that Fury and Ngannou will fight on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

The press service of the organization reported that this fight is not a title fight, but it will have an official status, and the result will be written in the fighters' records. The fight format has not yet been specified.

Ngannou, 36, last fought in January 2022 against Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 270. In that confrontation, Francis won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 17 wins and three losses under his belt in mixed martial arts.

Fury, 34, boxed against Derek Chisora in December 2022. This fight ended in favor of Tyson by technical knockout. He has 33 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no defeats.
