The World Boxing Council (WBC) has ordered the undisputed world super featherweight champion American Alycia Baumgardner to defend her title against Belgian Delfine Persoon.
Bidding for the right to organize the mandatory title defense in the super featherweight division will take place on March 16th at the WBC headquarters in Mexico.
The 29-year-old Baumgardner last fought in July 2023, winning against Christina Linardatou by unanimous decision. She has 15 wins (seven by knockout) and one loss on her record.
Persoon, 39, last fought in November 2023, defeating Agustina Marisa Belen Rojas by unanimous decision. She has 49 wins (19 by knockout) and three losses in her career.
