The head of the World Boxing Council (WBC) Mauricio Sulaiman commented on the news about the possibility of the return of the world champion in six weight categories Manny Pacquiao in the ring.
World Boxing News quotes Sulaiman as saying:
We have not received any official request, and we do know that there are intentions, but I feel that it is something that we have to wait for to be expressed formally. Manny Pacquiao has already done everything he had to do in the ring, but I feel he is not at risk more than any other boxer.
Pacquiao, 45, last stepped into the ring against blogger DK Yoo in December 2022. It was an exhibition fight. In this confrontation Pacquiao won by unanimous decision of judges. He has 62 wins (39 by knockout), eight losses and two draws on his professional boxing record.
