On the night from November 25 to 26 in Las Vegas (USA) WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo of the United States held a non-title fight in the interim weight (up to 74 kg) with his compatriot Jose Benavidez.
The bout went the full distance and ended with Charlo winning by unanimous decision of the judges (100-90, 99-91 and 98-92).
Charlo, 33, had his previous fight in June 2021, defeating Juan Macias Montiel by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 33 wins (22 by knockout) and no losses on his record.
Benavidez, 31, previously stepped into the ring in August 2023, defeating Sladan Janjanin by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 28 wins (19 by knockout), three losses and one draw.
