WBC Champion Haney Says He's Pausing His Career

Current WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney said he will wait for his former rival Ryan Garcia's disqualification to end.

Devin Haney
Ima take some time... spend some of my money... travel the world & I'll b back in two years after Ryan suspension & we can fight again.

The fight between Haney and Garcia took place in April of this year in Brooklyn. That fight went the full distance and ended in Ryan's favor with a majority decision. Despite the loss, Devin retained the championship belt as Garcia failed the weigh-in before the fight.

Garcia has 25 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss in his professional boxing career. Haney has 31 wins (15 by knockout) and one loss.
