Alexander Krassyuk, promoter of heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBO titles, commented on the potential matchup between his client and Congolese fighter Martin Bakole.

I think Oleksandr won’t fight Bakole for a simple reason – Martin currently does not have a title. When Usyk returns to boxing, he should fight for the title of undisputed champion.
Usyk’s last fight was against Tyson Fury in December 2024. In that match, which went the full distance, Alexander won by unanimous decision, successfully defending his WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. His record stands at 23 wins (14 by knockout) and no losses.
Bakole last fought against Jared Anderson in August 2024. That bout, stopped in the fifth round, ended in Martin's favor by technical knockout. He currently holds a record of 21 wins (16 by knockout) and one loss.
