WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk revealed what he talked about with Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo during the fight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury.
In an interview to Seconds Out Usyk said:
I was chatting with Cristiano Ronaldo, talking about what was going on in the world. I was trying to tell Cristiano Ronaldo a little bit more about boxing, trying to teach him different things that he can see in the Fury and Ngannou fight. Ronaldo is a very simple person. I'm his fan.
The Fury vs Ngannou fight took place on the night of October 29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Their confrontation lasted the entire distance of ten rounds and ended with the victory of Tyson by a split decision of judges. Recall, the Briton's next fight should be held on December 23 against Oleksandr Usyk. However, after the fight in Saudi Arabia, Fury's manager said that the fight of his ward against the Ukrainian will be held in early 2024.
Usyk's last fight was against the British Daniel Dubois in August 2023. Oleksandr won this fight by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) and no defeats on his record.
