Undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk said that he may change weight category after the rematch with Tyson Fury, which is expected to take place before the end of the year.
Usyk said on the 3 Knockdown Rule podcast:
I think maybe after the rematch, I am going to go down in weight to cruiserweight. Maybe I can be undisputed for a second time in the cruiserweight division, it's my plan. When I start to prepare for my training camp [as a heavyweight], I have to eat all the time. For me it's hard, I don't like it.
The fight between Usyk and Fury took place in the main event of Boxing Night held in Riyadh on May 18. In this fight, which lasted the whole distance, Oleksandr won by a split decision and became the undisputed champion in the heavyweight category.
Usyk has 22 wins (14 by knockout) and no defeats in the professional ring. Fury has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one defeat and one draw.
