Mexican boxer Saúl Álvarez said he wants to meet again in the ring with WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol of Russia.
Saúl Álvarez, bet365
I gave a very close fight, even though I had limitations in my arm and shoulder work. I had a good first half of the fight, but then I got tired because we didn't prepare properly. A rematch is what we're aiming for. I yielded, trying to make history in another division. As far as I'm concerned, Bivol is the number one light heavyweight right now.
Álvarez and Bivol met in the ring last May in Las Vegas. The bout lasted 12 rounds and the Russian fighter won by unanimous decision.
In September of this year, Álvarez fought against Kazakhstan's Gennady Golovkin. Saúl won that fight by unanimous decision. He had 58 wins (39 by knockout), two draws and two defeats on his record.
