UK Suspends Boxer Who Died Three Months Ago For Doping

The UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) has announced the suspension of deceased Mexican boxer Moises Calleros for four years for violating anti-doping rules.

Cocaine was found in the athlete's blood. The sample itself was taken in April 2023 after his fight against Britain's Galal Yafai. UKAD later found out that Calleros had died in March of that year. The organization had to remove the post about the boxer's suspension and apologize.

Calleros last fought against Gerardo Verde Moreno in December 2023. Moises won by knockout in this fight. Recall that Calleros began his professional career in 2008. He has 37 wins (29 by knockout), 11 defeats and one draw on his record.
