Former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has yet to receive clearance to fight popular YouTuber Jake Paul, scheduled for November 16 in Arlington, Texas. This information was confirmed by the fight's organizers.
TASS news agency reports:
Mike has not yet received official clearance from the athletic commission. As the fight date approaches, he will undergo a series of medical tests to assess his health condition. Only after this will the commission grant him clearance.
Paul recently fought Mike Perry in July this year, winning the bout by technical knockout in the sixth round. His boxing record now stands at 10 wins (seven by knockout) and one loss.
Tyson's last appearance in the ring was against Roy Jones Jr. in a featured exhibition match in November 2020. That match went the full distance and ended in a draw. Mike holds a record of 50 wins (44 by knockout) and six losses.
