Tyson: I Don't Like the Canelo vs. Crawford Fight

Former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson shared his thoughts on a potential match between Terence Crawford and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Mike Tyson
You know, I don’t like that fight. I don’t like that fight. It’s just too much weight. He had a close fight with the last guy he fought [Madrimov] cause this guy was big and he was awkward. He shouldn’t have fought that guy. He should’ve fought a guy that would come straight at him.

Crawford's last fight was against Israil Madrimov in August of this year in Los Angeles, where he won by unanimous decision after the full distance, capturing the WBA world champion title and the WBO interim belt in the super welterweight division. His record is now 41 wins (31 by knockout) with no losses.

Alvarez last fought against Edgar Berlanga on September 15 in Las Vegas. That match, which also went the full distance, ended with Alvarez winning by unanimous decision, keeping his WBA, WBC, and WBO titles in the super middleweight division. His record includes 62 wins (39 by knockout), two losses, and two draws.
