President Donald Trump has expressed his condolences following the death of former heavyweight champion and famous American boxer George Foreman.

George Foreman is dead. What a GREAT FIGHTER!!! He had, without question, the heaviest and biggest punch in the history of boxing. He was something really Special, but above all, he was a Great Person, with a personality that was bigger than life. I knew him well, and he will be missed.
Foreman passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 76. His last fight was against Shannon Briggs in November 1997 in Atlantic City, USA. George lost that fight by a majority decision.
Foreman's professional debut took place in June 1969 against fellow American Don Waldheim. This fight, which was stopped in the third round, ended in George's favor by technical knockout. Over his career, he achieved a record of 76 wins (68 by knockout) and five losses.
