Trainer Garcia Claims Crawford May Retire If He Doesn't Get a Fight with Alvarez

Famous American trainer Robert Garcia has revealed that pound-for-pound ranking leader Terence Crawford may consider retiring from boxing if he does not secure a bout with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Garcia said in an interview with the YouTube channel FightHype:

He doesn’t need to prove anything. I’ve talked to him personally and my feeling is he wants that big fight against Canelo, and if he doesn't get that, he might not ever fight again.

Crawford last fought against Israil Madrimov in August of this year in Los Angeles, winning the match by unanimous decision. With that victory, Terence captured the WBA World Title and the WBO Interim Title in the super welterweight division. His professional record now stands at 41 wins (31 by knockout) and no losses.
