WBO super welterweight champion Tim Tszyu has challenged former belt holder Jermell Charlo after his win over Brian Mendoza.
Tszyu won by unanimous decision of the judges on October 15 in Australia.
Fox Sports Australia quoted Tszyu as saying:
Charlo, where you at? Where you at buddy? In his delusional head, he'll probably think he is going to beat me. Come get it. He fought Canelo, the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He is the best 154, but let's prove it to everyone, who is really the king of the division.
Tszyu, 28, last fought in June 2023, defeating Carlos Ocampo of Mexico by first-round knockout. He has 24 wins (17 by knockout) and no losses on his record.
Mendoza, 29, previously stepped into the ring in April 2023, defeating Sebastian Fundora by knockout in the seventh round. He has 22 wins (16 by knockout) and three losses on his record.
