Irish journalist Carol Barry while talking to Steve Bunce had high praise for Irish professional boxer Katie Taylor. She said her influence even overshadowed U2's lead performer Bono's influence and she drew the loudest cheers in 2006 as a 20-year old boxer. She also said that labels 'pioneer' or 'legend' don't do justice to Katie and her influence stretches way beyond that. Her comments come in the wake of Katie's fight against Puerto Rica's Amanda Serrano for the lightweight championship, which will be held on 30 April @ 02:00 UTC.

The pioneer label doesn't even do Taylor justice. Because she's not a pioneer, she created this revolution. I really mean it. Of course, she's a leader, but she's in front of it all too. She's more than just a legend. There's another category for Taylor. I don't know the word to describe her influence.
