Former undisputed light-welterweight champion Josh Taylor reacted to the words of Teofimo Lopez. The boxers will fight on June 10 in New York.
Earlier, Lopez said that the Top Rank promotion is only interested in promoting black boxers. Many athletes were outraged by Lopez's racist statement.
"I hope one day I’ll fight this clown," WBC light-welterweight champion Regis Prograis wrote on social media.
"Don't worry, I'll decapitate him," Taylor commented.
Taylor had his last fight against Jack Catterall in February 2022. This confrontation lasted the entire distance and ended in Josh's favor by a split decision of the judges. He has 19 wins (13 KO's) and no losses.
Lopez had his last fight against Sandor Martin last December. Teofimo won that fight by split decision. He has 18 wins (13 by knockout) and one loss.
