UFC middleweight number seven Sean Strickland has spoken harshly about the boxing bout announcement between Nate Diaz and blogger Jake Paul.
Sean Strickland on his Twitter
Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz such a f**ing joke. I'm not hating on either for making money of this clown show, I'm hating on the fact a RETIRED 155er is fighting a juiced tiktoker at 185 who lost to a recreational boxer Tommy Furry. STOP WATCHING THIS BS!! IT NEEDS TO DIE…
Earlier, authoritative sports streaming service DAZN announced the organization of a boxing confrontation between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz. The fight is scheduled for August 5 in Dallas (USA).
Diaz last fought under mixed martial arts rules in September 2022 at UFC 279, where he defeated Tony Ferguson by choking in the fourth round. He has 24 wins and 13 losses in MMA under his belt.
Paul fought against Tommy Fury in February 2023, in Saudi Arabia. This fight went the whole distance and ended in Tommy's victory by split decision. Paul has six wins and one defeat on his record.
