WBC lightweight champion American boxer Shakur Stevenson has spoken out about a potential fight with Ukrainian Vasiliy Lomachenko.

On 12 May in Perth, Australia, Vasyl Lomachenko defeated George Kambosos by technical knockout in the 11th round in a fight for the vacant IBF lightweight title.
Lomachenko, 36, had his previous fight in May 2023, losing to Devin Haney by unanimous decision. He has 18 wins (12 by knockout) and three losses on his record.
The 30-year-old Kambosos previously stepped into the ring in July 2023, defeating Maxi Hughes by majority decision. He has 21 wins (ten by knockout) and three losses on his record.
