Former MMA fighter and current analyst Chael Sonnen has commented on rumors that former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor will face off against blogger and WWE star Logan Paul in a boxing match.
Earlier reports claimed that the fight, with a total purse of $250 million, would take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and be organized by the Ambani royal family.

Not a single word is true. You’ve got to understand, Conor is not boxing [Logan] Paul, there is not a billionaire in India that is looking to bring people over and change tourism. That is something exclusively done by a government and that government does it in one place which is in the Middle East. And third, there’s no cheque for $250 million dollars so he kind of went right down the list of joking. He's kidding. You're not supposed to believe in any of that to be true.
McGregor last stepped into the octagon in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he lost to Dustin Poirier via technical knockout in the first round. In October 2023, Logan Paul competed in a boxing match against former Bellator fighter Dillon Danis, winning by disqualification after Danis attempted to choke him and attacked the guards.
