Former UFC middleweight champion, Brazilian fighter Anderson Silva commented on the outcome of the boxing fight with American Chael Sonnen.
The fight, which took place on June 16 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, went all five rounds and ended in a draw.
Anderson Silva
This fight was exhibition in nature, so knockouts were forbidden and there was no winner. I think we put on a good show in an exhibition match. I have a [boxing] match in Dubai that isn't an exhibition. There's no date yet. We're negotiating, and I can't say who the opponent is yet or [my manager] will kill me because the contract is in secrecy.
Recall that Silva and Sonnen held two fights under the rules of MMA. Anderson won both fights. Silva has 34 wins and 11 defeats on his MMA record, and one fight ruled a no contest. Sonnen has 31 wins, 17 losses and one draw.
