Mexican Saúl Álvarez, the undisputed middleweight champion of the world, could have his next fight against British boxer John Ryder this May.

Canelo and John Ryder are close to finalizing a deal for a super middleweight world title fight that will take place on May 6. The venue has not been confirmed, but the fight is expected to take place in Jalisco, Mexico.
The 32-year-old Alvarez last stepped into the ring in September 2022, when he defeated Gennady Golovkin by unanimous decision. He has 58 wins (39 by knockout) and two losses under his belt.
Ryder, 34, defeated Zach Parker by TKO in the fifth round in November 2022. He has a record of 32 wins (18 by knockout) and five losses.
