Prince Turki Al-AlShikh, chairman of the Saudi Arabian Entertainment Authority, has expressed his desire to make a bout between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney.
DAZN quotes Al-Sheikh as saying:
I want him (Davis) and I send message now from you to [Davis’ advisor Al] Haymon: ‘Let’s do job [together], brother,’. But Haney I want to see in my country and I send message from you now to him. I will try to do it in 2024. And Davis of course we want him in our country.
Davis last stepped into the ring against Ryan Garcia in April of this year. That fight, which was stopped in the seventh round, ended in Gervonta's favor by knockout. He has 29 wins (27 by knockout) on his record without a single loss. Haney has 31 wins (15 by knockout) and no losses on his record.
Haney's last fight was against Regis Prograis in December 2023. In that fight, Devin won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 31 wins (15 by knockout) and no losses.
