American professional boxer Ryan Garcia, who competes in the super lightweight division, announced his intention to make a fight against former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Garcia is quoted by Sportskeeda as saying:
I want to fight AJ, let's go. I'm moving up to heavyweight. Give me about three years, I'm going to beat his a**. Hey, when I knock out AJ what would they say then?...? After that, they can't [hate me.]
Recall, on April 21 in Brooklyn (USA) Garcia defeated Devin Haney by majority decision (112-112, 114-110, 115-109).
Garcia, 25, had his previous fight in December 2023, defeating Oscar Duarte Jurado by knockout in the eighth round. He has 25 wins (20 by knockout) and one defeat on his record.\
