Forget about gloves, it is time to get into the good ol’ fistfight! Yes, that is what Russia is planning, make the bare-knuckle type of boxing legal. Although it has not been illegal since the Soviet era and fights have been taking place without official banners for a year, the Russian sport’s bigwigs are looking to make the sport official.
The decision to make the sport official also comes in the wake of bare-knuckle boxing gaining traction online and gaining millions of viewers. There are some researches that show that bare-knuckle boxing has a lower concussion rate than boxing with gloves.
