New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker shared his emotions from his victory over Deontay Wilder in the co-main event of the boxing evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Parker told Sky Sports:
Deontay has a new coach and maybe he is applying the new things they are working on. Maybe inactivity played a big part.
Recall, the fight between Parker and Wilder took place on the night of December 24. The fight went the full distance of 12 rounds, at the end of which Joseph was recognized as the winner by unanimous decision of the judges.
Parker, 31, had his previous fight in October 2023, defeating Simon Kean by knockout in the third round. He has 34 wins (23 by knockout) and three losses.
Wilder, 38, previously stepped into the ring in October 2022, defeating Robert Helenius by first-round knockout. He has 43 wins (42 by knockout), one draw and three losses.
