Cuban Andy Cruz, the 2020 Olympic boxing champion, made his professional debut against Juan Carlos Burgos on the night of 16 July in Detroit, USA.
This fight lasted the whole distance and ended in favor of Cruz by unanimous decision of the judges. Thus, he won the vacant IBF International lightweight title.
Cruz became the winner of the Olympic Games after winning the final fight by majority decision over American Keyshawn Davis.
