Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou addressed his former rival, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who he fought on October 28 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
Recall, the confrontation between Ngannou and Fury went the whole distance and ended with the victory of Tyson by split decision.
Ngannou wrote on social media:
I really want to thank Tyson Fury for his sportsmanship and for giving me the opportunity to step into boxing on the world’s biggest stage. While some were too worried about how they might look, what they stood to lose, and what others would say, Tyson stood up and accepted this fight just off his passion for war and to give the fans an action-packed night. Thank you Gypsy King.
Fury previously stepped into the ring in December 2022, defeating Derek Chisora by technical knockout in the tenth round. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no losses. The last fight was Ngannou's debut in the boxing ring.
