Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou revealed the role Mike Tyson is playing in his preparation for his March 8 fight against Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
Ngannou told All Out Fighting:
To be honest in this fight since my own trainer was here, we didn’t get Tyson here this time. He came [to my camp] like three times or something like that. He was more advising, he came to watch our training more than three times. He would watch the training and give me some advice.
Joshua last fought against Otto Wallin in December 2023 in Saudi Arabia. In that fight, Anthony won by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses on his record.
Ngannou made his professional ring debut in October 2023. He came out for a bout against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. This fight went the full distance and ended with Francis losing by split decision of the judges.
