Former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson spoke out after Jake Paul's defeat at the boxing event in Arlington (USA).
Recall that Tyson lost to Paul by unanimous decision in an exhibition fight.
I am happy. I knew he was a good fighter. I knew he was prepared. I didn't prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. I am just happy with what I can do. [Jake Paul is a] Very good fighter. Absolutely [deserves respect].
Prior to this, Paul had stepped into the ring against former UFC fighter Mike Perry in July of this year. This fight, which was stopped in the sixth round, ended in Jake's favor with a technical knockout. He has 10 wins (seven knockouts) and one loss.
Tyson's previous fight was against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. In this fight, which went the distance, no winner was declared because it was an exhibition. Mike has 50 wins (44 knockouts) and six losses.
