Former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has published a new post on his social networks explaining why he didn't fight Vitali Klitschko in a rematch.

Klitschko threw some good punches in the first rounds. He definitely woke me up, but it didn't hurt me too much. This fight was initially supposed to be my last. I thought about fighting him again, but I decided to stick with the original plan.
Lewis and Klitschko fought in June 2003. That night, Lennox won by TKO, as the fight was stopped by doctors because of the Ukrainian's split. At the time of stopping the fight, Vitali was leading on the judges' scorecards. Lewis had promised to give Vitali a rematch, but a little later announced he was ending his career.
Klitschko had the last fight of his career in September, 2012, in Moscow against Manuel Charr. The fight ended with the Ukrainian's victory by TKO in the fourth round. Vitali records 45 wins (41 KOs) and two losses.
