Former WBC heavyweight title contender Kevin Johnson believes that British fighter Daniel Dubois delivered a blow to compatriot Anthony Joshua from which he may struggle to recover.
Johnson said in an interview with Match TV:
I noticed before the fight that Dubois has the power and the ability to knock out Joshua. Yes, he had only one chance, but Dubois took advantage of it perfectly. He landed a shot on Joshua that he won't recover from.
To recap, Dubois secured a victory over Joshua by knockout in the fifth round. Daniel's previous fight was in June 2024, where he defeated Filip Hrgovic by technical knockout in the eighth round. His record now stands at 22 wins (21 by knockout) and 2 losses.
Before this bout, Joshua entered the ring in March 2024, knocking out Francis Ngannou in the second round. He has 28 wins (25 by knockout) and 4 losses.
