Joyce on Loss to Hrgovic: It Was a Close Fight

British heavyweight boxer Joseph Joyce has shared his thoughts on his recent defeat to Croatian fighter Filip Hrgovic.

The match between Joyce and Hrgovic took place in the early hours of April 6 in Manchester. Filip won that fight by unanimous decision.

Joseph Joyce for The Stomping Ground
I feel good, it’s pretty much like a hard spar but it’s good to share the ring with Filip Hrgovic again. It was a good fight, it was close. There were moments where his eye was going in the third round, he was bleeding and I was trying to target it but he had his guard up, then the corner did a good job of covering it up.

Hrgovic has a professional boxing record of 18 wins (14 by knockout) and one loss. Joyce holds a record of 16 wins (15 by knockout) and four losses.
