Eddie Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing and promoter of two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, provided an update on when his fighter will be back in the ring.
Hearn said in an interview with Ariel Helwani:
You’re going to see him [Joshua] around May or June time, and I think he’s desperate to rematch Daniel Dubois, but obviously Tyson Fury win or lose December 21 it’s going to be a fight that’s very difficult to remove yourself from. Those two have to meet before it’s all over. And that could be next.
It’s worth noting that on September 22, Daniel Dubois knocked out Joshua in the fifth round, successfully defending his IBF heavyweight championship title. Joshua last stepped into the ring in March 2024, where he knocked out Francis Ngannou in the second round. His record stands at 28 wins (25 by knockout) and four losses.
