Former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua shared his expectations for the upcoming showdown with Francis Ngannou, which will headline a boxing evening in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on March 8.
Anthony Joshua
I believe I can knock him out. Definitely. I would love to knock him out and make a statement. Physically I feel strong, feeling good. Strong enough to get the job done and mentally I'm in a place where I'm ready for war. I'm looking forward to the challenge.
The 34-year-old Joshua's last fight was against Otto Wallin in December 2023 in Saudi Arabia, which he won by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses to his name.
The 37-year-old Ngannou made his professional debut in October 2023, facing WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury. The fight went the distance and ended with Francis losing by a split decision.
