Two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua of Britain has said that he may face Deontay Wilder in the ring after his fight with Francis Ngannou.
BoxingScene quotes Joshua as saying:
Next opponent? I think it could be Deontay Wilder. The contracts have been signed, and the fight is still interesting to the fans. It's UK versus US, all that good promotional stuff, it's still a good fight.
Wilder, 38, last fought in December 2023, losing to Joseph Parker by unanimous decision. He has 43 wins (42 by knockout), one draw and three losses.
Joshua, 34, last stepped into the ring for a fight in December 2023, defeating Otto Wallin by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses on his record.
