WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo was arrested in Texas for driving under the influence and failing to comply with a traffic stop request.
According to the police, Charlo, driving a Lamborghini Urus, collided with another vehicle, and when the officers tried to stop Jermall, he ignored their demands. As a result, Charlo was arrested, and the alcohol concentration in his system was almost twice the legal limit. The boxer was soon released on bail of $9,500.
Charlo's most recent fight was against American Jose Benavidez in November 2023. Charlo won that bout by unanimous decision after going the distance. He has 33 wins (22 by knockout) and no losses in professional boxing.
