Jake Paul and Matchroom Boxing Reach Settlement in Defamation Case

Jake Paul and Matchroom Boxing's legal teams have filed for dismissal of counterclaims in New York federal court, after reaching a settlement.

Recall that the Matchroom Boxing's lawsuit filed in 2022 alleged that Paul made defamatory statements suggesting that the promotional company bribed referee Glenn Feldman to influence the outcomes of fights involving Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, as well as Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua. Feldman later joined the lawsuit as a co-plaintiff. Matchroom Boxing and Hearn were seeking damages exceeding 100 million dollars.

The terms of the settlement agreement remain confidential.
