Naoya Inoue vs Marlon Tapales for the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF & WBO super-bantamweight world titles is being planned for Boxing Day, Dec 26th in Japan, Bob Arum has said.
Inoue, 30, last stepped into the ring in July 2023, defeating Stephen Fulton by eighth-round technical knockout. He has 25 wins (22 by knockout) and no losses on his record.
Tapales, 31, last fought in April 2023, defeating Murodjon Akhmadaliev by split decision. He has 37 wins (19 by knockout) and three losses.
