Former heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield has reached out to fellow American fighter Mike Tyson with a proposal to hold a third match.
“The fans want it #unfinishedbusiness,” Holyfield posted on social media.
Tyson replied, saying, “I love you brother but the trilogy is our friendship”.
The first fight between Holyfield and Tyson took place in November 1996, where Holyfield won by technical knockout in the 11th round.
Their second encounter was in June 1997, which ended in another victory for Holyfield due to Tyson’s disqualification for biting Holyfield's ears twice. Holyfield has 44 wins (29 by knockout), 10 losses, and two draws in his professional boxing career. Tyson has 50 wins (44 by knockout) and seven losses.
