Famous promoter Eddie Hearn suggests that Russian WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol may fight in 2023 against Saúl Álvarez at middleweight and Artur Beterbiev in his category.
Álvarez's coach said that Bivol is ready for a rematch at super middleweight. We'd like to get a fight with Ryder first and then Bivol. Reynoso suggested giving Dmitry a chance to become the undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division by fighting Canelo. Yes, fighting Artur Beterbiev is part of the plan to win the undisputed world heavyweight championship title. But there's a chance that Bivol can fight twice for the undisputed title, we'll see.
Bivol and Álvarez fought in May of this year. The fight lasted the whole distance and ended with the Russian boxer winning by unanimous decision of the judges.
Bivol, 31, had his last fight on November 6, defeating Gilberto Ramirez by unanimous judges decision. He scored 21 wins (11 by knockout) and no losses.
Beterbiev will fight against Britain's Anthony Yarde on January 28 next year in London. His last fight was against Joe Smith Jr. of the United States in June of this year. In this fight Beterbiev won the fight by TKO in the second round. He has 18 wins under his belt, all of them early, without a single loss.
