Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn said that Briton Joshua Buatsi has turned down an offer to fight WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.

Joshua Buatsi got an offer. We offered him over 1 million pounds for a fight with Dmitry Bivol, but he turned it down, which is frustrating.
Bivol fought in November 2022 against Mexican Gilberto Ramirez. He defeated Ramirez by unanimous decision. He has 21 wins (11 by knockout) and no losses.
Buatsi fought against fellow countryman Craig Richards in May, 2022. This fight lasted the whole distance and ended in Joshua's favor by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 16 wins (13 KOs) without a single loss.
