World Boxing Council (WBC) president Mauricio Sulaiman has named a mandatory light welterweight challenger for the title currently held by American boxer Devin Haney.
Sulaiman told YouTube channel Pro Boxing Fans:
Sandor Martin is the mandatory challenger. He agreed to wait and now he's next in line. We'll get into that fight when the time comes up.
Haney's last fight was against Regis Prograis on December 10 in the United States. In that confrontation, Devin won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 31 wins (15 by knockout) and no losses.
Martin last entered the ring against Arblin Kaba in July this year. That fight, which was stopped in the sixth round, ended in favor of Sandor by knockout. He has 41 wins (14 by knockout) and three losses on his record.
