Absolute lightweight world champion American Devin Haney has been arrested by California police officers for weapons possession, TMZ reports.
According to the source, a semi-automatic gun was found in the boxer's car. Haney was not driving at the time, but the vehicle belongs to him. Devin is released on $35,000 bail. The first hearing in the case will be held in August.
24-year-old Haney last entered the ring against Vasyl Lomachenko in May of this year in Las Vegas. This fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Devin by unanimous decision of judges. He has 30 wins (15 by knockout) and no losses.
